This drawing is of what Sally Chapman, aged 14, witnessed in July of 1976. Chapman and her friend, Barbara Perry, saw what is known as the Owlman of Mawnan. Written on Chapman’s drawing is:
“I saw this monster bird last night. It stood like a man then it flew up through the trees. It is as big as a man. Its eyes are red and shine brightly.”
